A Night in Poverty

This year we are bringing back the KGV School Sleepover ‘A Night in Poverty’. To raise funds for impoverished communities in Cambodia, Tibet and Indonesia whilst simultaneously experiencing what it’s like to live in poverty with only the most basic of necessities and a 16 hour fast. Whilst also, of course, having fun and enjoying with friends and peers who have all joined together to support this cause!

ITENARARY: The sleepover will begin at 5:30 pm on Friday, March the 13th and will end officially the next day at 9 am. During this time, we will be watching a movie about human slavery called ‘Not my Life’ by Liberty Asia and then entertaining an extremely influential guest speaker. As well as this, we will provide students with tons of leisurely activities like games and additional movies - particularly following the theme of Friday the 13th!

TIPS: We suggest that students bring cards, board games or anything else to keep them entertained during their free time! On behalf of the whole charity committee we hope you can join us to strive towards a community that stands for equality for all :-)

So get sponsored and bring your sleeping bag to the school hall on Friday, 13th of March, where we'll be spending a Night in Poverty.
